The compact, durable design uses two rotor sets to align flow to demand, so reducing power requirements and fuel consumption. The driving rotor operates in the normal manner whilst the position and flow of the second eccentric rotor is controlled either mechanically or electronically.

Concentric VFP technology offers major benefits in heavy diesels with stop-start duty cycles and also in high-performance passenger cars, where a cold start and significant running time below 80ºC means that the lube system is responsible for an even more parasitic losses.

Many European and US OEMs are working with Concentric on variable flow pumps for both diesel and petrol engines, off-highway, truck and passenger car applications.
